On the Road: Santiago, Chile

After spending 18 hours in transit, I arrived in Santiago, Chile. Excited to be here for the first time and to explore the city. I am here for a few days to organize our HumanCities@Santiago workshop.

What a beautiful city! My favorite moments include:

• Seeing the snowy Andes mountains after a refreshing rain
• Seeing a pop up community workshop to get input about pedestrian needs
• Encountering a raised crosswalk
• Spending time with Stanford and local Chilean students and meeting fellow urban planners and researchers

I am looking forward to visiting again.
